Today’s Haiku Inspiration

Today’s haiku inspiration is two-fold. First, coming off of the week of Thanksgiving here in the US, the leftover food is running out. The Black Friday door-busters have closed, and we’re on the cusp of Cyber Monday. Second, on November 26, 1865, Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” was released in the United States.

Around this time of year, we usually do so much eating, so much shopping, and, hopefully, have so much family fun that it feels like we’ve gone down the rabbit hole only to emerge on January 1 with more stuff, more debt, and more packed on pounds.
